Catholic Leadership Pathway
Aspiring Catholic School leaders

The Scottish Catholic Education Service and the Archdiocese of Glasgow have been working in partnership with local authorities to develop an integrated approach to leadership development for aspiring Catholic school leaders through the formation of an Aspiring Catholic Leaders’ Network.

This network will offer a framework for identifying, nurturing and developing future Catholic leaders within the Archdiocese of Glasgow and will feature two aspects: accompaniment and encounter.

Accompaniment Sessions (dates agreed by head teacher facilitators locally)
These sessions will take place either in-person or online and will be facilitated by headteachers from your local authority.
Session 1: Serve the People Who are Serving the People

Session 2: Discernment and the distinctive role and responsibility of the Catholic Leader

Session 3: Seven Characteristics Common to Effective Catholic School Leaders

Session 4: The Vocation to Teach

Diocesan Encounter Sessions
These sessions will take place in Eyre Hall and will involve participants from across the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
Session 1: Catholic School Leadership in Scotland 8th February 2023 4 – 5:30pm

Session 2: Catholic Leadership in a Changing World 29th March 2023 4 – 5:30pm

Session 3: Spiritual and Professional Development 24th May 2023 – 4pm followed by reception (food and wine) provided
