When planning for learning and teaching within RERC colleagues from across Scotland are being encourage to use the flow chart below. In doing so, they can be assured that:
Learning experiences are being planned using the Core Learning from the national syllabus of the Bishops' Conference of Scotland contained within This Is Our Faith
The latest advice from Education Scotland regarding the integrity of Assessment in the planning of all learning experiences has been incorporated into the planning.
The choice of assessment points are directly linked to the key skills, knowledge and understanding as outlined in the RERC Experiences and Outcomes.
The assessment is proportionate, manageable and meaningful.
Each school has a flexible approach to curriculum planning to meet their own context, while maintaining the rigour of a national syllabus.
