Examples of S1 units planned using TIOF
All of the examples below have been planned using the principles of planning for learning teaching and assessment as outlined by Education Scotland (http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/resources/p/planningforltainrerc/introduction.asp)
They have all been developed at inter-diocesan in-service days by practitioners who shared thoughts, ideas and suggestions for how to 'bundle' the core learning together. Using the Liturgical Year as a tool for organising the learning, the teachers then decided on units, topics and themes that would be appropriate for S1.
They are each at a different point of the planning process.
Each has a 'bundle' of core learning identified as being the learning for the named unit/topic.
Some have learning Intentions and Success Criteria that has been developed from the Core Learning and the key words of the E&Os.
Some have reached a stage of development where the lesson outlines and resources have been described.
All of the exemplars are offered as a work in progress and as ONE way to plan using TIOF. Should you find them useful for your school, please feel free to download and adapt them to your own context.
In order to build a larger bank of examples it would be very helpful if colleagues could share any planning that they have completed in their own school.
